Mark J Garcia, MD, FACR, FSIR is Founder, CEO and Medical Director of Endovascular Consultants in Wilmington, DE. Dr. Garcia is a native of Wilmington, DE, and completed medical school at Thomas Jefferson Medical College, radiology residency at St. Francis Medical Center in Pittsburgh, PA and a fellowship in Vascular & Interventional Radiology (VIR) at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital. He practiced VIR for nearly 20 years at Christiana Care, was Chief of VIR, Medical Director of Peripheral labs for Heart & Vascular Center as well as Medical Director of the Center for Comprehensive Venous Health. Dr. Garcia has served on the Board of Directors for the IAC Vein Accreditation, Vesper Medical, St. Francis Hospital, Freedom From Fibroid Coalition, USPA and the V-WIN Foundation.

In 2015, Dr. Garcia pursued industry opportunities and was Chief Medical Officer (CMO) for Merit Medical Systems, Vesper Medical and American Vascular Associates. In 2017, as CEO and Medical Director, he founded his private practice “Endovascular Consultants”, which specializes in peripheral arterial and venous diseases including amputation prevention as well as acute and chronic DVT. He is also passionate about fibroid embolization (UFE) for uterine preservation, genicular artery embolization (GAE) for painful arthritis, Prostate embolization (PAE) for symptomatic prostate enlargement and Hemorrhoid Embolization (HAE).

Dr. Garcia has been and continues to be the Principal Investigator (PI) or sub-PI on numerous clinical trials & registries. He has moderated and coordinated numerous sessions at national and international society meetings and has been an invited speaker/faculty member at multiple national and international meetings including AVF, AIM, CIRSE, IVC, ISET, OEIS, SIR, VEITH, VIVA, VEINS, v-WIN. He has been lead author, co-author or guest editor on numerous articles, abstracts and chapters including the 2014 TVIR edition on Venous Disease and the 2018 Atlas of Endovascular Venous Surgery, 2nd Edition.
