Professor Dr. Victor M. Canata is a distinguished vascular surgeon, academic leader, and international authority in phlebology and lymphology. He currently serves as Titular Professor of Descriptive Anatomy and Surgical Clinic at the National University of Asunción, where he is actively involved in medical education and surgical training. Dr. Canata is also the Medical Director of the Centro Paraguayo de Varices Center, leading advanced treatments in venous disease.



With a strong global presence, he is the President of Vein and Lymphatic University (VLU), an innovative educational platform dedicated to the advancement of venous and lymphatic medicine. He has previously held prominent leadership roles, including Past Vice President of the International Union of Phlebology (UIP) and the Pan American Society of Phlebology and Lymphology, as well as Past President of the Paraguayan Society of Phlebology and Lymphology.



Dr. Canata has extensive expertise in endovenous therapies, foam sclerotherapy, and complex venous reconstructions. He is widely recognized for his contributions to education, research, and hands-on training programs worldwide. Through international collaborations, publications, and congress participation, he continues to shape the future of minimally invasive venous treatment and global phlebology education.
